About
A Little Bit About Me
I’ve been married to my wonderful husband, Dustin, for ten years this summer. He has encouraged me to start this blog, and he took care of all the visual and technical aspects. We love to cook and eat together, travel, and spend time with good friends.
I’m mother to Corban, 4 ½ (almost five!), and Jackson, 2 ½, and we have one on the way (due Oct 10)! We also have two little friends, H (3), and PE (1) who stay with us during the day.
I taught elementary art for four years before choosing to stay home when Corban was born. I love working with and creating with young children. I also love art and music, cooking and baking (and eating), taking long walks, and reading a good book.
As I aspire to be a better wife, mother, and homemaker, my goal is to bring more beauty, creativity, simplicity, and spirituality into our home. We live on a very tight budget, so frugality and resourcefulness are very important. I believe in the importance of taking care of the earth and the bodies that God gave us, so I hope to share a little about my journey toward more healthy and natural living as well.
My hope for this blog is to learn and share ideas, encourage other mommies, and make a few friends as well. I’d love to hear from you! You can email me at heather@woolandflax.net.
